The NuForce U192S is a digital signal converter designed for transforming digital audio signals presented to the USB port of a computer into a coaxial or optical S/PDIF type commonly encountered in high performance digital-to-analog converters (DACs). The U192S accepts data word lengths of 16 and 24-bits at a maximum sample-rate of 192kHz, thus permitting playback of high-resolution digital audio recordings via the more common USB ports found on computers.

Nuforce USB Audio devices are designed to work with x86 architecture.  Tablet devices running Windows 8 (RT) are not supported.

The above graph is a spectrogram of the jitter performance exhibited by a typical production U192S. Please note that the repeating odd harmonic spuriae of larger magnitude (residing above and below the 11.025kHz test tone) are erroneous artifacts of the test, and therefore they must be subtracted from the data set in order to derive the actual jitter performance. The true jitter artifacts are those spurious sideband components residing between the repeating odd harmonic sidebands. In light of this fact, one can easily see that all jitter components reside -120 dB below the magnitude of the test tone. Consequently, all artifacts introduced by the U192S will be below the threshold of audibility, and therefore its performance represents a level approaching near theoretical perfection.
